وبسایت معتبر وال استریت ژورنال به تازگی خبر داده که گوگل فبلت 5.9 اینچی نکسوس را همین ماه به بازار وارد خواهد کرد. آخرین خبری که از زمان معرفی نکسوس 6 شنیده بودیم، به خبر مؤسس وبسایت اندروید پلیس بازمی‌گردد که معرفی و آغاز فروش آن را به ابتدای نوامبر موکول کرده بود.
از طرفی شنیده شده که گوگل مراسمی را در 15 اکتبر و به منظور معرفی نکسوس 9 برگزار می‌کند. همین گزارش اضافه می‌کند که این تبلت در نهایت با قیمت 399 دلار از سوم نوامبر فروش خود را آغاز کند.
گزارش وال استریت همچنین نشان می‌دهد که گوگل نسخه نهایی اندروید L را همزمان با معرفی اسمارت فون جدید ارائه می‌کند که همین خبر می‌تواند تأیید بیشتری در معرفی همزمان نکسوس 9 و نکسوس 6 برای مراسم 15 اکتبر باشد.
با تمام این اوصاف نمی‌توان اظهار نظری قطعی در این زمینه داشت و باید دید در فاصله چهار روزی که تا 15 اکتبر باقی مانده، دعوت نامه‌های مراسم به دست خبرنگاران خواهد رسید یا خیر.
نکسوس 6 یا شامو محصول مشترک موتورولا و گوگل است. این اسمارت فون دارای صفحه نمایشی 5.9 اینچی با رزولوشن 1440×2560 پیکسل می‌باشد و حضور یک چیپست اسنپ دراگون 805، رم 3 گیگابایت، دوربین 12 مگاپیکسل و باتری 3200 میلی آمپرساعتی آن را به یکی از قدرتمندترین اسمارت فون های بازار تبدیل خواهد کرد.

The Wall Street Journal today is reporting that Google will launch a 5.9-inch Nexus smartphone sometime later this month. Of course, this is what we’ve been hearing for quite a while now, so the report is far from being surprising – but it’s still good to see more reliable sources confirming the arrival of a new Nexus. As mentioned many times before, the upcoming device – codenamed Shamu – is manufactured by Motorola, and will be the most advanced Nexus handset yet. Its 5.9-inch display will have 1440 x 2560 pixels, while other features should include a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 12 MP rear camera, and a 3200 mAh battery. The WSJ has it that Google also plans to launch the latest version of Android – Android L – at the same time with the new Nexus (which, by the way, might look like the device seen above next to the Apple iPhone 6 Plus). Back in August, we told you that the name of the new smartphone would be Nexus X, not Nexus 6, but it remains to be seen if that’s the case. It’s not clear exactly when Google will unveil the 5.9-inch Nexus, but we heard that it may happen on October 15, or October 16 (that’s next week!). Prices for the handset may start at $419.
